This year we have two contestants; Tabitha Kelman, Watertown and Claire Scholten, Lake Mills.  Contestants are judged on their poise, public speaking abilities, fair knowledge, and any other areas. The Final Question will be at 6:15 p.m. at the Activity Center Stage. Come out and cheer your favorite contestant on Wednesday, July 7 at 8:00 pm to see if Tabitha or Claire will be the 2010 Fairest of the Fair for Jefferson County at the Grandstand during the Badger State Tractor Pull.

For information on this position, please contact the Fair Park Office at 920/674-7148 M-F 7-3:30. This is a public relations position and looks great on a resume.

CRICKET SPITTING CONTEST
The fifth annual cricket spitting contest will be held at the 2010 Jefferson County Fair on Wednesday, July 7th at 1:00 p.m. during Kids' Day.
The contest is divided into three divisions including the pee wee division for children ages 10 and under, the junior division for children ages 10 to 14 and the senior division for participants ages 15 and over. The winner of each division will advance to the finals which will begin at 3 p.m.
Participants must spit the cricket while standing within a 3-foot diameter circle within 10 seconds of when they put the cricket in their month. Participates can use any technique they choose as long as the cricket remains completely intact. The distance is then measured from the edge of the circle to where the cricket ends even if it bounces or slides.
