Rules for the Use of Jefferson County Fair Park (or portion of)
Animal Events
1. All bookings are made through the Jefferson County Fair Park office.  The office phone number is 920/674-7148.  Fax number is 920/674-7480.  Office hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.
2. Contracts are to be signed and returned with DEPOSIT to the Fair office, 503 N. Jackson Ave., Jefferson, WI 53549 within 30 days of receipt of contract date on the left hand corner of contract.  Any changes to 30 day allotment will be noted on contract. All checks are to be made out to Jefferson County Fair and returned to the Fair Park office.
3. DEPOSIT (half of basic rental fee) will be refunded if notice of cancellation is received 90 days prior to event.
4. If beer is to be sold, renter must obtain necessary license from the city. Renter is also responsible for obtaining a licensed bartender to be present throughout the event.  Renter is required to submit a $600.00 security deposit for any event where alcohol is sold or consumed. Four (4) uniformed security personnel must be on premise at all times when alcohol is available for sale or consumption. Jefferson County holds no liquor liability for contracted events held at the Fair Park.  Please contact Jefferson City Hall for further licensing information at (920) 674-7700.
5. Renter will be charged according to the current price list. Damage done in any area of the Park by the user or its guests will be the responsibility of the renter.
6. Renter is responsible for contacting the Fair office AT LEAST TEN (10) DAYS PRIOR TO ANY EVENT to arrange for equipment set-up, access to buildings, etc. The phone number to make arrangements is (920) 674-7148 between 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday.
7. For information on the kitchen area of the Activity Center, contact the Fair Office for a list of Preferred Caterers at (920) 674-7148 immediately.  NO FOOD PREPARING IN ANY ANIMAL BARN.
8. EVENT CAMPING – campers will be charged $10.00 per unit per night.  The camping organization (renter) is responsible for collection and turning these fees into the Fair office at the end of the event.  Camping in designated areas only.  No Campfires allowed without permission.  Non-event camping is $15.00 per unit per night.
9. For special or unusual set ups, an extra charge may be necessary. ALL post placement or tent staking installed on the grounds must be OK'd by Fair Park Personnel.
10. All events that require additional electrical hook-ups and PA Systems must contact Fair office to make arrangements for proper installation. Renters are NOT allowed to do own hook-ups. Charges will be assessed according to the needs of the renter.
11.

HORSE SHOWS – renter is responsible for cleaning up manure and feed from parking areas and place in manure pit.  No tying to trailers allowed.  All paw holes must be filled.  All other rules regarding renter responsibility apply.  All camping charges apply.  Saw dust and/or shavings only for bedding.  No selling of shavings by event.

12. ANIMAL SHOWS – all manure is to be piled for disposal.  Bedding must be kept free of strings, cans, bottles, and other garbage.  These items are to be disposed of with litter in dumpsters or appropriate recycling containers.  All renters are responsible for the removal of manure or pay the cost of removal.
13. It is your responsibility to inform your group that recycling must be done at Jefferson County Fair Park. Please use the proper barrels.
14. Renters are responsible for picking up litter inside and outside and taken to proper trash barrels with building ready to be swept. Staff will remove tables and chairs.
15. Renter must supply a Certificate of Insurance showing necessary coverage for this event.

17. Jefferson County Fair shall not be responsible for lost or stolen items or accidents.
