OPEN CLASS SWINE RULES AND CLASSIFICATIONS

SWINE

Rules:

 1.  All State of Wisconsin mandatory health regulations apply. See County & District Fairs, Rules and Regulations of Animal Health in the front portion of this book.

 2.  In addition the following rules will also be enforced:

 3.  Stall rent will be $.50 per animal which shall be paid at the time of entry.

 4.  All animals must be owned by the exhibitor for 60 days prior to the fair.

AGE CLASSIFICATIONS

Junior yearling boar or sow is one born during the period January 1 to June 30 of the year preceding exhibit year.

Senior boar or sow is one born during the period July 1 of the year preceding exhibit year to December 31 of the year preceding exhibit year.

Senior spring boar or sow is one born during the period of January 1 to the last day of February of exhibit year. (January pig - Born Jan. 1-31/February pig - Born February 1-28(29)

Junior spring boar or sow is born during the period Mar 1-30 of exhibit year.

 

Class A - Berkshire, Registered                       Class B - Duroc Jersey, Registered

Class C - Chester White, Registered               Class D - Hampshire, Registered

Class E - Yorkshire, Registered                        Class F - Poland China & Spotted  

Class G – Any other breed, Registered Poland China, Registered
