KNITTING & CROCHETING
RULES:
1.
All
State of
Wisconsin and Jefferson County Fair rules apply. Both sets of
rules are located in the front of this book. In addition the
following rules will also be enforced.
2.
Open to
members enrolled in a knitting or crocheting project or youth
doing similar work.
3.
All
entries must be made in the current project year.
4.
All
entries must be accompanied by a 3x5 card, securely fastened to
the entry tag with the following information: a) fiber content
of yarn(s) and state percentage(s); b) intended use and care; c)
size of needles or hooks used; d) gauge used. e) if article is
an original design or followed a pattern. If there is not a
card, exhibitor will be dropped one placing.
5.
Entries
with more than 1 piece must be securely fastened together.
6.
Exhibitors may enter up to 5 different items. Each exhibit must
include at least 2 or 3 new techniques learned. Exhibits can
include clothing for self or others, home furnishing or
decorative items, craft project, etc.
CLASS A – Knitting
CLASS B – Machine Knitting
CLASS C – Crocheting (Include hairpin and broomstick lace)
