JUNIOR CLASS HEALTH, POLITICAL & SOCIAL SCIENCES RULES AND CLASSIFICATIONS

 

2008-2009

Department 34

HEALTH, POLITICAL and SOCIAL SCIENCES

RULES:

1.     No more than three entries per exhibitor. One exhibit per lot number.

2.     All posters should be 14” x 22”. Poster board needs to be used for posters.

3.     Displays need to be more than a poster. They must be three-dimensional and include articles that help relay your idea.  Size should be no larger than 22” x 28”

4.     Exhibit may be a result of individual project or club work.

 

Premiums: Class A-F (face to face) $3.00-2.75-2.50-2.25

 

Lot #      

Class A - Genealogy

1.     Family Tree (including names, dates, etc.)

2.     Written family history (including stories, facts, etc.)

3.     Oral histories in any format documenting personal, family or community growth.

4.     Any other exhibit relating to Genealogy

Class B - History and Heritage       

1.     Community: An exhibit about early settlers in your area

2.     Community: An exhibit about the history of your club

3.     Any other exhibit relating to History & Heritage

Class C – Community Connections

1.     Community Service Project

2.     Adopt-A-Friend Project

3.     Intergenerational Project

4.     Adopt-A-Family Project

5.     Mentoring Project

Class D – Special Emphasis Club Program

1.     Any exhibit relating to current year’s special emphasis theme.

Class E – Health (open to exhibitors enrolled in Health Project)

1.     Any poster/display or exhibit related to personal health

2.     Any poster/display or exhibit related to family health

3.     Any poster/display or exhibit related to community health

Class F – International

1.  Any poster/display or exhibit involving youth international experience
