BOOTHS/GROUP EDUCATION
RULES:
1.
All
State of
Wisconsin and Jefferson County Fair rules apply. Both sets of
rules are located in the front of this book. In addition the
following rules will also be enforced.
2.
All 4-H,
FHA, FFA clubs and other youth groups having adult supervision
are eligible to enter a booth. Club booths shall be entered in
the Name of the Club and shall be made on a regular junior fair
entry blank by entry closing date for the junior fair.
3.
Booths
should have 1 major theme and should be illustrative of the
character of the work done by the organization. Clubs are
limited to not more than 2 booths.
4.
All
booth entries shall be accompanied by a non-refundable deposit
of $5.00
5.
Booth
size is 4’ x 4’ and can be up to 4’ high.
6.
Booth
exhibits shall convey an educational message. Some principles
which may apply to your booth: 1) show one central idea, you
can't tell everything you know in one exhibit; 2) a short and
snappy message is learned, a long one is ignored; 3) eye appeal
is essential; you are competing for the viewer's attention -
color, light and attractive design are important; 4)
advertising or brand names SHOULD NOT BE USED.
7.
Booth
exhibits will be judged on 1) general appearance, eye appeal,
attractive, not cluttered; 2) originality, unique related to
your activity, not traditional; 3) educational value, conveys
idea, title appropriate, follow through; 4) quality difficulty,
workmanship, neatness.
8.
Booths
shall have a minimum of 3 members involved.
9.
The
articles in the booth will not be judged individually.
10.
Exhibitors shall remove all material from the booth and from
the fairgrounds on Sunday evening AFTER 7 p.m.
