Tent, music lovers will find a wide variety of music, July
11th through 15th.
Kicking off the fun is the 1st annual Jefferson
County Karaoke Contest, hosted by the Jefferson County
Tavern League. Jefferson County residents will be belting
out all kinds of soulful sounds as their try to take the
$300 top prize, Wednesday, July 11th at 7:00 p.m.

musical memories at the 2007 Jefferson County Fair on
Thursday, July 12 at 2 p.m. in the entertainment tent. As a
part of the 2007 Jefferson County Fair “Special Senior
Entertainment” the 12 piece band, now under the direction of
Wayne Hartwig, will pay tribute to all of the wonderful
dance halls in the county.
Big Hair is back as “Bad Medicine” a Wisconsin based Bon
Jovi tribute band takes the stage Thursday, July 12th
at 7:00 p.m. “Bad Medicine” will knock your socks off with
their full list of hit Bon Jovi tunes.
On Friday, July 13 “Madison County” will continue their
performance at the entertainment stage beginning at 8:45
p.m. Following their Grandstand performance “Madison County”
will entertain fairgoers with a big selection of top country
hits.
A local favorite squeezes in to the lineup on Saturday,
July 14th as Bill Camplin, of Fort Atkinson, and
his son Satchel Paige perform on the Entertainment Tent
stage beginning at 2:00 p.m. Known in folk music circles as
the guy with sweet pipes and the droll wit Camplin and Paige
are sure to be a must see at the 2007 Jefferson County Fair.
Adding to the line-up is another Wisconsin favorite, “THE
LOVEMONKEYS”. “THE LOVEMONKEYS” will be taking the
Entertainment Tent stage on Saturday, July 14th
at 7:00 p.m. We over 15 years in existence and nearly 100
shows annually, this group knows how to be a crowd pleaser.
“THE LOVEMONKEYS” will perform a variety of Pop and Rock
music with a world beat flavor, but all styles and
influences usually make an appearance at each show.
Wrapping up the 2007 Jefferson County Fair will be the
“Swing Crew”. Performing for the crowd in the Entertainment
Tent on Sunday, July 15th, 2:00 p.m. “Swing Crew”
promises to be a great show. Fun is the bottom line in each
show, light hearted music and pure entertainment.

“Madison County” voted “Madison’s
Favorite Local Group of the Year” will open for “Jake
Owen” on Friday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Grandstand.
This high energy, versatile band is sure to deliver an
exciting performance with its six vocal parts and
instruments such as the fiddle, mandolin, harmonica,
steel guitar, dobro, banjo, lap steel, B-bender lead
guitar and acoustic guitar. With musical styles like
Keith Urban and Tim McGraw, acoustic duos, acapella
songs and musical skits, this band is extremely
entertaining.
Taking the stage following Madison County on Friday,
July 13th, is Jake Owen. Less than three
years after arriving in Nashville with a truck full of
dreams and songs, Jake Owen is closing in on the release
of his debut album, Startin’ With Me, which will
be released on July 25. Among the albums many features
is his Top 20 single, “Yee Haw,” which continues its
ascent up the country singles charts.
As a writer on all of the album’s 11 tracks, Jake finds
inspiration for his songs from stories he’s heard about
family members he never knew and his own life
experiences, including years of campus life. Going to
concerts in Tallahassee was a favorite entertainment
choice, and he saw several artists who would later
intersect with his music.
Kick it into high gear with the high energy

Opening for the Oak Ridge Boys on Saturday,
July 14th, at 7:30 p.m. is Lady Antebellum.
Lady Antebellum is a group that blends
great original songs, fresh eclectic vocals
and an unbridled spirit to create a
one-of-a-kind musical experience.
Great things are on the horizon for this new
group. Their energetic live performances,
along with well-crafted original songs, have
not only captured many fans, but also the
attention and respect of many of the biggest
artists, writers, and other industry
professionals.
The Oak
Ridge Boys are one of the most distinctive and
recognizable sounds in the music industry. The
four-part harmonies and upbeat songs of the Oak
Ridge Boys have spawned dozens of Country hits and a

and garnered a host of other industry and fan

50 years of tradition, to bear on a stage show

The Oak Ridge Boys will take the Grandstand Stage at
the 2007 Jefferson County Fair on Saturday, July
14th at 8:45 p.m. following an opening performance
by Lady Antabellum.
