OPEN CLASS WOODWORKING RULES AND CLASSIFICATIONS


Department 122
WOODWORKING

Rules:

 1.  All State of Wisconsin and Jefferson County Fair rules apply. Both sets of rules are found in front portion of this book.

 2.  Open class exhibits are open to Jefferson County residents and residents of  Rock, Walworth, Waukesha, Dane and Dodge, space permitting.

 3.  All work must be original and may not have been exhibited at a previous Jefferson County Fair in junior, open or senior class.

 4.  All work must have been completed within the last two years.

 5.  Professionals will not be allowed to compete.

 6.  Commercial or pre-cut kits may not be used.

 7.  Exhibits are to be brought to the fairgrounds on Thursday before fair week between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Judging will be Friday before fair. Exhibits will be released after 7 p.m. on Sunday evening.

 8.  ONLY ONE ITEM PER LOT NUMBER, PER EXHIBITOR.

 3. Article turned on a lathe - bowl, container, etc.

 4. Article turned on a lathe - Solid piece - Lamp base, candlestick

 5. Bird house or bird feeder

 6. Doll house or other building

 7. Miniatures (doll house furniture, shadow box items, etc.) Item must be       less         than 5" in any direction

 8. Wood burning - Wall decoration

 9. Wood burning - any other

10. Wood carving - animal, fish, caricature

11. Refinished wood item

12. Item for use in Kitchen - cutting board, knife holder, etc.

13. Centerpiece item

14. Decorative Holiday item

15. Item for outdoor use - mail box, sign, etc.

16. Any storage items

17. Outdoor lawn or tree decoration

18. Any other item not listed above
