These rules apply to all departments unless stated otherwise.

1.        All Open and Senior class entries are open to Jefferson, Rock, Walworth, Waukesha, Dane, and Dodge county residents.

2.        Open Class and Senior Citizen entries close on June 15th at 3:30 p.m.  Entries mailed to Jefferson County Fair Office, 503 N. Jackson, Jefferson, WI  53549 will be accepted if postmarked by June 15th, or deliver to the Fair Office in Activity Center Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  NO LATE ENTRIES ALLOWED!

3.        No premiums will be paid on exhibits that are not properly entered with the Fair Office.

4.        Application for pens and stalls must be made on entry.  No stalls or pens will be reserved unless stall rent accompanies entry.  No stall rent will be refunded.

5.        All classes are limited to one entry under one lot number except individual livestock (cattle, sheep, swine, and goats) entries where additional entries may be made.

6.        Open Class/Sr. Citizen exhibits must be in place according to entry schedule for each department.  Check department rules and/or entry/judging schedules.  Please have truckers use the south Jackson Service entrance when bringing animals into the fair.

7.        Exhibits MAY NOT be removed from grounds until Sunday. Horses will be released at 6 p.m.  All other livestock and exhibits at 7 p.m.  All non-livestock exhibits may be removed up until 10 p.m. on Sunday or between 8 and noon on Monday.

8.        Prizes will not be awarded when the exhibit is not of sufficient quality to be awarded a placing by the judge.

9.        Extra awards, Champion, Grand Champion, Best of Show, etc will not be awarded in departments having less that 5 open class exhibitors competing.

10.     Exhibitors must furnish their own bedding and feed in the livestock departments.

11.     No advertising may be posted on any building except the breeder may display the name of his/her farm.

12.     Open/Senior exhibitors will not be required to purchase the Family 5-Pack, but for admission during the Fair, the daily admission or Family 5-Pack will be required.  The Family 5-Pack will allow you to use it in any manner to enter the Fair Park.  All Stall/Pen fees must still be paid by exhibitor.

13.     Failure of an exhibitor to abide by the regulations governing exhibits and exhibitors will be cause for disqualification of such exhibitor by the Jefferson County Fair Park Committee, and such exhibitor may not show, receive ribbons or premiums, and may not have his exhibits on the fairgrounds.

14.     Due to postage costs, Open Class and Senior Citizen entry tags will not be mailed.  Tags must be picked up at the Fair Office after July 1st.

15.     PLEASE NOTE:  Specimen bloom entries must be made on regular entry form by June deadline.  You may still make up to 5 changes on Wednesday morning before judging.
