Class A: Adventures in Cats
RULES
1.
Open to all enrolled in the Cat Project
2.
Posters and charts must be 14" X 22" in size.
Poster must deliver a clear message.
3.
Tabletop display may be any size up to 14 x 22.
Display may be made with paper products alone or material
objects or any combination.
4.
All exhibits (with the exception of posters) Must have a
written explanation on
3 x 5 card (attached). May use more than one 3 x
5 card.
5.
Judging is face to face.
6.
Entry tags must be attached.
7.
Entries judged that are missing any of the stated rules
and description will be dropped one placing.

Class B: Cats
RULES:
1.
All State of Wisconsin mandatory health regulations
apply. See County
and District Fairs, Rules and Regulations of Animal Health in
front of this book.
2.
Open to all enrolled in the Cat Project
3.
Cats must be brought in an appropriate cage.
4.
Cats must be under daily care, feeding and supervision of
the member by April 1 of the current year.
5.
All cats must be immunized for Panleukopenia-Respiratory
Complex and vaccinated for rabies by JUNE 15 prior to the
fair and within the past one year to be shown at fair.
6.
Cats must be in good health.
Only altered adult male cats may be shown.
Females who are nursing are not allowed.
7.
All cats MUST be bathed and have nails clipped prior to
day of show.
8.
Judging time will be published in the 4-H newsletter.
9.
Definition for long hair and short hair cats:
*LONG hair-more than one (1) inch on sides, belly and tail
*SHORT hair-less than one (1) inch anywhere on cat except
ruff.
10.
Cage measurements are Sides 23, Back 26 ½
& Height 23 inches
11.
Cage covering must include both sides and back, a floor
mat cover and a top cover.
All cages must have a cover.
12.
All cages must have a litter pan and food & water
dishes that are filled for your cat.
13.
Cage decorations are to be in place no later than 8:00
a.m. on day of judging and will remain in place until 5:00 p.m.
on Sunday. A picture of the cat and exhibitor should be placed in the
cage during the fair when the cat is not present.
Cages are available to be decorate beginning Wednesday of
fair after rabbit judging.
14.
Cats will be released from the fair at 5:00 p.m. on the
day of judging.
15.
A Kitten is 4 8 Months;
a Cat is over 8 months of age.

Class C: Cat Showmanship
Rules:
1.
Showmanship is mandatory for all cat exhibitors.
Exhibitors must enter on entry form to be eligible for premiums.
2.
Exhibitors will do showmanship
with only one cat of choice.
